Woman Carjacked in Apartment Complex Off DeKalb Industrial

Two armed robbers struck a woman parked in and drove off with her car Sunday morning, DeKalb County police said.

The 52-year-old victim told police she had just returned from praying and was parked at 1107 Carriage Place Ct. off DeKalb Industrial Highway at about 5:45am, the police report said.

Two men approached the driver's side of her vehicle, and one of the suspects pointed a gun in her face and demanded money. When the woman told them she had no money, the suspect hit her on the left side of her face with the gun.

The suspect demanded the keys to the vehicle, the victim turned them over and both suspects drove off, the report said. When police arrived, the victim had a knot on her head but refused medical attention.
