Woodland Hills Mail Tampering Alert
A resident of the Woodland Hills area had their mail stolen and the thieves attempted to cash the victim's checks.
This notice was sent out to members of the Woodland Hills Neighborhood Association mailing list about an incident that happened on Dec. 20:
On Tuesday, a resident...stated that their mailbox had been tampered with and mail had been stolen. The thieves stole their mail which included checks. They were notified by their bank of the theft when the thieves tried to cash the checks. The resident stated they recalled seeing a white car stopping in front of our house, and suspect that it may have been involved in the theft, though they are not certain.
