Northeast Health District Adds Three COVID-19 Deaths
The Daily Status Report of the Department of Public Health on Wednesday listed new deaths in Oconee, Greene and Jackson counties.

The Department of Public Health on Wednesday listed three additional deaths attributed to COVID-19 in the Northeast Health District, including one in Oconee County, with the release of the Daily Status Report.
The Oconee County death was of male without a known chronic condition who was 90 or more years of age. Total deaths in the county from COVID-19 now stands at 17.
The Report included a death in Greene County of a 64-year-old female, also without a known chronic condition, and a death in Jackson County of a 71-year-old female with a chronic condition.

The seven-day rolling average of added deaths in the District remained unchanged at 2.0 because the Daily Status Report had listed three deaths in the District on Wednesday of last week.
The Daily Status Report listed 128 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Northeast Health District on Wednesday, and the seven-day rolling average continued to decline. The average was 115.0 on Wednesday, down from 120.0 on Tuesday.

Every county in the 10-county District added cases. Oconee County added eight and Clarke County added 36.
The Department of Community Health, in its Long-Term Care Facility Report for Wednesday, listed one additional death at a nursing home in Greene County as well as one new COVID-19 Positive Staff at that same facility and five new COVID-19 Positive Residents at a personal care facility, also in Greene County.
The Georgia Emergency Management Agency reported that area hospitals had nine Critical Care Hospital Beds available, up from five on Tuesday.
The area hospitals also had 115 Current Confirmed COVID-19 Patients, down from 125 on Tuesday, and 27 ventilators in use, down from 29 on Tuesday.
