11 Hurt in Transit Bus Accident at JCB/Buford Highway (Updated)
None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.

Eleven passengers in a Gwinnett Transit bus were injured in an accident Monday morning near the intersection of Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Buford Highway, Gwinnett Fire said Monday afternoon.
None of the injuries were considered life-threatening. (Note: Gwinnett Fire first reported there were nine injuries)
βThere were a total of 11 patients with minor injury complaints,β Gwinnett Fire Capt. Tommy Rutledge said in a news release. βAll patients were passengers from the bus and all requested medical evaluation and transport.β

The departmentβs mobile bus ambulance took nine of the injured passengers to the hospital. Two others complained of neck and back pain and required immobilization on long-spine boards. They were taken to the hospital in traditional ambulance units.
All of the injured were take to Gwinnett Medical Center.

There were 29 passengers on the bus at the time of the accident. Uninjured passengers were transferred to another bus.
Preliminary information indicates the car struck the rear of the bus. The driver of the car was not injured.

Nine passengers in a transit bus were injured in an accident Monday morning near the intersection of Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Buford Highway, Gwinnett Fire said in a news alert.
None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.
Gwinnett Fire Capt. Tommy Rutledge said the two-vehicle accident involved the bus and a passenger car and occurred just before 11 a.m. Monday morning in an area near the Norcross and Peachtree Corners city limits.
βAll injuries are described as minor in nature and are not life-threatening. The injured are from the transit bus. The departmentβs mobile ambulance bus was requested to respond to assist with transporting patients to the hospital. The call was dispatched today at 10:51 a.m.,β Rutledge said in the news release.
