Arrested: Man Allegedly Fired Gun at Another Car on JCB

The 23-year-old was wanted in the June 30 shooting, Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office said.

A Doraville man is being held without bond in the Gwinnett County jail in connection to a June incident in which he allegedly fired a handgun at another vehicle.

The incident happened June 30 at Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Lawrenceville Highway near Norcross, the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s said in a news release.

Miguel Angel Vilches, 23, was arrested Tuesday by Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit deputies. He is listed as a Doraville resident in jail records.

Vilches was identified by Gwinnett County Police as the suspect in the incident and obtained a warrant for his arrest. Deputies conducted surveillance and eventually arrested Vilches without incident, the sheriff’s office said.

He has been charged with four counts of aggravated assault, reckless conduct and hit and run, the sheriff’s office said.
