Bear Sighting Near Downtown Norcross (Photo)

Norcross PD said two cubs were possibly seen in the Lillian Webb Park area.

Norcross Police are reporting there’s been a bear sighting early Tuesday afternoon in the downtown area.

The agency said in a Nixle alert that two cubs separated from their mother were seen in the area near Carlyle Street and Magnolia Street. This is near Lillian Webb Park and Buford Highway.

Bear sighting in the Downtown Norcross area near Carlyle Street and Magnolia within the past hour. Possibly 2 cubs separated from their mother. Use extreme caution if sighted. Norcross Police ask that you call 770-448-2111 if a bear is seen. Provide your location and the time sighted. Georgia DNR is in the area. Be safe and be aware of your surroundings.
