Bell Times Change at High School to Handle Snow Makeup

A new bell schedule for Norcross High School has been posted to reflect the longer school days going forward to offset snow days.

Gwinnett County Public Schools decided last week to add 30 minutes to each school day from March into May to make up for snow days in January and February.

The school system also will hold classes on the two remaining built-in make-up days. Gwinnett students have had seven snow days so far this school year.

These changes have been made to the school calendar:

• Use built-in make-up days on March 14 and May 22.
• To make up for the additional four days, the school day will be extended 30 minutes for 48 days from March 3 through May 14. Classes will be dismissed a half-hour later.
