Berkeley Lake Voter Turnout Light in First Week

Less than 2 percent of registered voters cast ballots at City Hall.

Berkeley Lake voters are casting their votes to decide on Sunday alcohol sales. The candidates for mayor and two council seats are running unopposed.

Just 25 people voted in the first week of early/absentee voting at City Hall, according to Leigh Threadgill, Deputy City Administrator who is presiding over the voting.

That is less than 2 percent of the 1,184 registered voters on the rolls at City Hall election headquarters.
