City Council Takes Up Crematory Proposal Tuesday Night

Agenda for Peachtree Corners council meeting includes second reading of funeral home's request to allow crematory in existing building.

The Peachtree Corners City Council will hear public comments Tuesday on the special use permit request by a local funeral business to construct a crematory on its existing property.

According to the agenda for Tuesday’s regular council meeting (7 p.m., City Hall), the council will consider Crowell Brothers Funeral Home’s request to allow such construction at its facility at 5051 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

The issue drew a large crowd and opposition at the council’s September meeting.
