City Recognizes Two for Their Community Contributions

Dan Baker, with Georgia Commerce Bank and Mark Ogden, Peachtree Booster Club Hockey director, receive proclamations at City Council meeting.

At the April City Council meeting Dan Baker and Mark Ogden were recognized by the Mayor and Council for their efforts and contributions to the community.

As Senior Vice-President of Georgia Commerce Bank, Mr. Baker was a tremendous help by providing financial assistance for start-up operations for the new city and the acquisition of the Town Center property. He is a longtime member of the community and supporter of Peachtree Corners as well as a founding member and president of the Peachtree Corners Business Association.

Mark Ogden has been the director of the Peachtree Booster Club Hockey program for the past eight years and will be leaving at the end of the season. It was his passion for hockey combined with his volunteer spirit that helped transform an informal recreational activity into a full-fledged sports program. Mr. Ogden’s leadership provided the framework for the creation of year around hockey for all age groups.
