Elizabeth Feininger named to Dean’s List at Wake Forest University

WINSTON SALEM, NC -- Elizabeth Feininger from Norcross, GA has been named to the Spring 2015 Dean’s List at Wake Forest University. Students who achieve a 3.4 grade point average and no grade below a “C” were named to the list.

DEKALB, IL -- Sarah Grant of Norcross, GA is a recent graduate of Northern Illinois University (NIU), joining 227,000 alumni who are putting the university’s promise of student career success into action. Grant graduated with a Master of Public Health degree. Graduate degrees were conferred Friday, May 8, 2015. Undergraduate degrees were conferred Saturday, May 9, 2015.

Area Residents Named to the Dean’s List at Mercer University

MACON, GA -- The following area residents were named to the Dean’s List at Mercer University for the spring 2015 semester. Inclusion on this list requires students to meet rigorous grade-point-average standards specific to the college or school within the University.

Samford Univesity’s Spring 2015 Dean’s List

BIRMINGHAM, AL -- Samford University releases dean’s lists after the close of the fall and spring semesters each academic year. To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean’s List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

The following students were named to the Spring 2015 Dean’s list.

Citadel Class of 2015 graduate Benjamin Young commissions into U.S. Army

CHARLESTON, SC -- Citadel Class of 2015 graduate, Benjamin Young of Norcross, has commissioned into the U.S. Army. Families, friends, faculty and staff assembled at the Summerall Chapel on The Citadel campus to honor the newly commissioned officers. The commissioning cadets and students took oaths accepting their appointments as officers in the U.S. armed services.Young was commissioned during a ceremony on May 8, 2015. Young received a BA in Political Science during commencement on May 9, 2015.
