Couple Charged with Murder in Death of Infant Daughter; News Nearby
Report: Duluth PD believe the couple intentionally caused the baby's death by diluting her milk with water.

A Gwinnett mother and father are being held in the Gwinnett County Jail without bond, accused in the death of their 10-week-old daughter.
Duluth Police arrested Herbert George Landell and Lauren Heather Fristed and charged them with murder in the death of Nevaeh Landell, who was already deceased when the parents took her to the hospital on March 25.
Duluth Police believe the couple caused the death by diluting the child’s milk with water, which caused water intoxication and swelling of the brain, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. Police believe the parents’ actions were deliberate.

According to the incident report, cited by the AJC, the child was not breathing when the parents took the child to Gwinnett Medical Center-Duluth on March 25. The child was already dead, the report said.
According to jail records, Landell and Fristed are both charged with two counts of murder, two counts of cruelty to children and aggravated battery. They were both booked into the county jail on April 29.
