DULUTH, GA — Gwinnett County firefighters rescued three dogs that were in crates from a house that caught fire Thursday morning.
Firefighters responded at 8:32 a.m. to a report of a fire in the 2700 block of Rhoanoke Drive near Duluth. The crews found smoke coming out of a single-story house there.
They immediately entered the home to extinguish the fire and discovered the dogs, according to Gwinnett Fire & Emergency Services spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge. All three were removed from the home safely. There were no injuries reported in the fire, Rutledge said.
