Dreams/ Nightmares - Do they have meaning?

What's one of your weirdest dreams or nightmares?
Do any repeat?
Ask my husband and he'll confirm that I've had some pretty weird dreams. Like most people, I don't remember them for more than a nano second, even if I tell him all about it. 

Then there are the ones that are so real, you go around for days before you realize what you thought to be true was only a dream. 

My weirdest one is tough to forget even though it has been more than ten years.
I was being chased in an area that was quite familiar to me, my junior high school in Laurel, Miss.  I ran into what I thought was a safe place - the sewing side of the Home Economics building. The door flies open and there stood this creature...head of a dinosaur/man-like, body of dino and tail like those awful big black grasshoppers we used to see in the summer.Then he said, "Ah, ha, I thought I heard you talking about windshield wipers." And he started chasing me again till I woke up.

I cannot believe I'm actually telling people about that dream. But I'm curious to hear other stories.
