Duluth's 'Howl On The Green' Set For Friday

The family-friendly Halloween event runs from 6-10 p.m. on Duluth Town Green.

DULUTH, GA — Gwinnett County residents looking to get their Halloween weekend started with a howl can do so Friday evening in Duluth.

Howl on the Green is a family-friendly event set for 6-10 p.m. on Duluth Town Green. It kicks off with downtown trick-or-treating from 6-7 p.m. and sign-up for a costume contest.

There will be "haunted hay rides" from 6-8 p.m. and free kids crafts and candy under the big white tent from 6-9 p.m. The costume contest is set for 8 p.m., with categories for ages 0-5, 6-10, 11-17, 18 and up, pets and families.

There will be a "fire performance" and live show from L.E.D Entertainment starting at 9 p.m. (Note: While the event is kid-friendly, organizers say the show starting at 9 p.m. might be a bit scary for the youngest ghosts and goblins.)

There will be live music throughout the evening and about a dozen food trucks on hand for your dinner and snacking needs. Coolers are allowed, but no alcoholic beverages — which can be bought from vendors on site — may be brought in.

Pets on leashes will be allowed. Main Street will be shut down for the event and parking is available at the downtown locations listed here.
