Connie Weathers is the founder of Sustainable Norcross, a local environmental non-profit. Their activities include Norcross Community Garden, Safe Routes to School, Adopt-A-Stream, Rivers Alive waterway clean ups, rain barrel and water conservation classes.
The Sustainable Norcross Commission advises the city of Norcross on environmental matters. They led a three-year effort that resulted in the City being awarded Gold Certification as a Green Community by the Atlanta Regional Commission. Connie was also a finalist in the Cox Conserves Heroes award program in 2011.
