FBI: iPhone-Loving Armed Robber Hit Two Gwinnett Stores

The gunman robbed mobile-phone stores in Duluth on June 11 and June 14, according to local and federal police.

DULUTH, GA β€” The FBI and Duluth Police Department are seeking the public's help in finding an armed robber who held up two local mobile-phone stores at gunpoint β€” demanding only a specific model of iPhone each time.

Investigators believe the same man is responsible for robberies at a Duluth T-Mobile store on June 11 and a nearby AT&T store on June 14. In both cases, the robber pulled a handgun on store employees and told them specifically to fill a backpack with iPhone 7 Plus smartphones.

At 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, Duluth Police responded to the T-Mobile store at 2550 Pleasant Hill Rd. Witnesses said a man entered the store, showed a handgun and ordered the store's manager to put the iPhones into a black, orange-lined backpack.
