Feds: Gwinnett Prostitution Ring Ran For 10+ Years

A federal indictment claims three people brought in Asian women from across the country to work in a brothel run out of two apartments.

ATLANTA, GA — A prostitution ring in south Gwinnett County near Buford Highway operated out of an apartment complex for more than 10 years before federal agents raided the complex last month, authorities say.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that three people have been indicted on federal conspiracy charges for allegedly shuffling Asian women from across the country in and out of the brothel on Global Forum Boulevard.

Xiaohong Huang — also known as Michelle or Jenny — Chan Kong Chow, also known as Blake Wong, and Biyun Gong were indicted by a grand jury on May 24.

The AJC reported that two apartments in the complex, and a home owned by Huang in Johns Creek, were raided by federal agents last month. The apartments have been leased in Huang's name since 2005.

The indictment claims that women were hired from as far away as California to work in the brothel in 10 to 12-day rotations. Chow would pick up women at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and bring them to the apartments, the charges claim.

The charges also claim Chow was seen on multiple occasions throwing away bags containing dozens of used condoms and condom wrappers in an outdoor trash bin.

The indictment charges that Chow and Huang tried to launder money from the brothel through two Harrah's casinos in North Carolina and through bank accounts controlled by Huang.
