Fire Causes Moderate Damage at Trucking Company

A fire reported at a Norcross-area business was quickly extinguished but caused moderate damage Saturday night.

Gwinnett Fire said in a news release that firefighters were dispatched to Idealease of Atlanta, located at 4571 Buford Highway, around 9 p.m. after a passerby saw smoke coming from the building and called 911.

The business, which was closed at the time, is a large truck leasing and repair facility.

Firefighters forced entry into the building and attacked the fire with several hoses, quickly bringing the fire under control.
The fire caused moderate fire, smoke and water damage, but the business should be able to re-open on Monday.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but is not believed to be suspicious.
