Food and Wine Pairing Fundraiser for Cindy Martinez

A silent auction will take place at the event to raise money for the Martinez family

Cindy Martinez, wife of David Martinez, is currently in the hospital fighting for her life. This beautiful wife, mother of two small children and former Marine has a case of Necrotizing Fasciitis (flesh-eating bacteria). She has already survived several surgeries and is now facing the possibility of amputation of her hands and feet. The Martinez’ home will need substantial renovation to accommodate Cindy and to allow for her care. If renovations are not possible, the family will need to look into the purchase of an entirely new home.

The United Peachtree Corners Civic Association (UPCCA) is hosting a Food and Wine Pairing event on Thursday, July 30th, to raise money for Cindy Martinez. David Martinez is a Gwinnett County police officer who works on police related community activities within Peachtree Corners and the local area. David has taken a leave of absence from the police department to care for his kids while Cindy fights off this terrible infection.

The Food and Wine Pairing event will be held at Atlanta Bread Company at The Forum starting promptly at 6:30 p.m. and will end at 8:30 p.m. There will be a silent auction at the event to raise money for the Martinez family and donations can also be made for their support. Please bring cash or checks for the silent auction and donations. The price for the food and wine event is $20 per person. Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite or reservations can be made by calling Atlanta Bread Company at (770) 662-0900 by Sunday July 26th. Click here to sign up on Eventbrite.

The event will be informal, pairing four different excellent wines with delicious foods from Atlanta Bread’s extensive menu. This will be a most enjoyable evening and a way to raise money for a very worthy cause. Seating is limited, so register early.

If you are interested in donating to the silent auction, please contact Pat Bruschini, Past President of UPCCA at: pbruschi@bellsouth.net.
