GCPS Hosting Kindergarten Registration in May

Elementary schools throughout Gwinnett will host Kindergarten registration on May 3. Parents and guardians of children who turn 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2012 may register for the 2012-13 school year on May 3.

Parents may call the GCPS Planning Department at 678-301-7085 to locate their child's school and they may call the specific school for exact registration times.

Parents and guardians will need the following information to register children:

• Official document showing proof of birthdate, proof of residency in attendance zone
• Georgia certificate of immunization
• Evidence of a hearing, vision and dental exams obtained in the past year
• Photo ID of the person registering the child
• Proof of custody or guardianship
• Child's social security number and copies of pre-K progress reports
