Gratwick Selected Peachtree Corners' Mayor Pro-Tem

The mayor pro-tem fills in for the mayor in the mayor's absence.

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA -- Peachtree Corners council member Weare Gratwick has been named mayor pro-tem of the city.

Gratwick was selected for the position, which fills in for the mayor in the mayor's absence, by a unanimous vote of his fellow council members Tuesday evening.

“It’s just good practice to have someone designated as mayor pro-tem in place,” said Mayor Mike Mason in a news release. “Council member Gratwick has been on the council since the city was founded, and I think the council members made a solid choice when they nominated and approved Weare for the position."
