Gwinnett Police: Man Found Dead Near Taxi

Gwinnett Police are investigating a Sunday-morning homicide that left a man dead with a gunshot wound to the head.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired found the man lying next to a taxi on Branch Drive in unincorporated Gwinnett associated with Tucker. He was dead at the scene, police said in a news release.

The shooting occurred around 6:15 a.m. Sunday morning.

The man’s identity was being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.

No other information was released, but updates were expected Monday.
