Gwinnett Sting Operation Nets 185 Pounds of Pot
Sheriff's investigators arrested two drug-trafficking suspects at a Norcross hotel on Tuesday.

NORCROSS, GA -- More than $100,000 worth of marijuana was snagged in a sting operation conducted by Gwinnett County sheriff's investigators on Tuesday.
Two suspects were arrested in the bust at the Horizon Inn, 6187 Dawson Blvd., in Norcross, the sheriff's office said in a news release.
According to the release, the operation came as a result of drug policing in the area which lead deputies to believe Mauro Zaldivar, 31, and Bernardo Saenz, 40, were involved in high-volume marijuana sales in the Norcross area.

During the sting operation, investigators seized $31,000 in cash, along with 185 pounds of marijuana packaged for sale, the release said.
The marijuana has an estimated street value of more than $100,000, according to the sheriff's office.

Zaldivar and Saenz were charged with marijuana trafficking and taken to Gwinnett County Jail, where they continue to be held without bond.
