Halocarbon To Locate Headquarters in Peachtree Corners
The chemical company is moving from New Jersey.

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA — Halocarbon Products Corporation, one of the world's leading producers of specialty fluorochemicals, has selected Peachtree Corners for the site of its corporate headquarters.
The Georgia Department of Economic Development, Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development and the city of Peachtree Corners jointly announced the news Thursday.
Founded in 1950, Halocarbon's products include fluorochemicals for pharmaceutical and agricultural manufacturing, inhalation anethetics for the human and veterinary markets, inert lubricants and other specialty products.

According to its website, it makes products used in applications "from breeding fruit flies for genetic research to non-flammable fluids for hydraulic systems in the aerospace industry."
Halocarbon announced in December it would be moving its headquarters New Jersey to the Atlanta area.

Its headquarters are located at 6525 The Corners Pkwy.
"The relocation makes access to our company’s manufacturing site in North Augusta, South Carolina, much faster and easier while allowing Halocarbon to tap into a larger pool of innovative, collaborative and tech-savvy talent," stated David Bacon, CEO of Halocarbon, in a news release. "The look and feel of our new headquarters reflects the evolving personality of our company: progressive, forward-looking and highly accessible."
"Halocarbon’s decision to invest in Peachtree Corners speaks to the strength of our community and the economic vitality of this area," said Mayor Mike Mason. "With access to a skilled workforce and significant infrastructure, companies like Halocarbon are able to locate their business here with confidence."
Ease of access to Interstate 85 and Atlanta’s international airport factored into the company’s decision to move to Peachtree Corners said Ashley Morris, project manager for the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
The privately-held company also plans to add additional staff to its Peachtree Corners location over the next one to two years.
