House Hunt Gets a Spring Break

Spring break begins on Friday for most of the Georgia schools. Many outside factors play a part in the home selling business. There are times, proven over the years that people are not thinking about Sunday afternoon home tours just like Super Bowl Sunday when everyone is glued to the TV.

Spring Break takes many families South. New home subdivisions are usually open during these times but real estate agents in those communities will tell you it will be very quiet for the next two weekends.

Since Open Houses are limited, I'm taking this opportunity to give you a report on the local market.

In Zip code 30092  There are 143 homes on the market. There have been 26 homes sold year-to-date. Of these 26 homes , four were short sales or foreclosures.
There are 14 pending sales (homes scheduled to close) in Zip code 30092.

In the 30097, Duluth part of Peachtree Corners there are nine homes on the market and one sale in the first quarter.

Chattahoochee Station, a Peachtree Corners community, has a new listing. This 4 bedroom 2 ½ bath home is on the market at $250,000.

In Berkeley Lake there are 15 homes on the market. Five homes sold year-to-date. Of those sold, three were foreclosures. There are three pending sales (homes scheduled to close) in the City of Berkeley Lake.
