Technology company InComm will create 275 new jobs in the Atlanta area, some of them in Peachtree Corners and Suwanee, where a new data center will be opened.
Gov. Nathan Deal announced Wednesday that the payments and transactions firm will invest $20 million in metro Atlanta through 2016.
“Georgia’s workforce is among the best and brightest. Their talents and skills, paired with Georgia’s existing infrastructure offer valuable resources for innovative and growing high-tech companies,” Deal said in a news release.

Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Atlanta, InComm is part of a rapidly expanding financial technology sector.
“Our company is continuously being recruited by states across America to expand our workforce or deepen infrastructure investments away from InComm’s Atlanta headquarters,” said Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer Scott Meyerhoff in the release.
“However, the state of Georgia and several local governments have demonstrated their commitment to keeping us here by creating a favorable economic environment for us to develop talent through our innovative internship program and university partnerships with Georgia Tech, Georgia State, University of Georgia and Kennesaw State.”
State spokespersons did not immediately have a breakdown of how the number of new metro Atlanta jobs would be broken down across the various locations.
