Japanese Manufacturing Co. Opens Facility in Peachtree Corners

Today a Japanese-based company, Haso Ltd., announced the opening of its U.S. manufacturing operations in the City of Peachtree Corners.

The announcement represents 170 new jobs and $7 million in capital investments for the city. The news
was jointly announced in a press release issued by the Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development and
the Georgia Department of Economic Development.

Haso Ltd, a market leader in the development and manufacturing of high-quality hygiene and household
cleaning products, will lease a 100,000 square-foot facility at 2850 Colonnades Court in the Northwoods
office park in Peachtree Corners.

“This is a great win for the City of Peachtree Corners and marks the second big global announcement
this year,” said Mayor Mike Mason. “I applaud Haso for its decision to grow here, a decision that will
benefit our community.”

Earlier this year United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) announced its plans to relocate its U.S. headquarters to Peachtree Corners.

Founded in Hong Kong in 2000, Haso is headquartered in Tokyo and has manufacturing facilities based
in Taicang, China and sales offices in Tokyo and Shanghai. The Peachtree Corners location is the first U.S.
location for the company.

“A large part of our decision to move to metro Atlanta was based on the relationships we developed,”
said Yuji Sogawa, Presidents of Haso USA, Inc. The addition of Haso brings the number of Japanese
businesses in Gwinnett County to 115 according to Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development and
Partnership Gwinnett.
