Duluth Fourth Of July 2017: Fireworks, Festival Celebrates America
The Gwinnett County city's Independence Day celebration, on Monday, July 3, will include fireworks, bands, kids' activities and more.

DULUTH, GA β The city of Duluth will be putting its patriotism on display this Independence Day with fireworks, bands, children's activities and more.
Duluth Celebrates America is set for Monday, July 3, on the Duluth Town Green. The celebration will run from 6-11 p.m.
"This is one of our biggest events of the year," said event coordinator Madison Chucci. "We look forward to hosting it every year."

The event, which routinely brings thousands of people to Duluth's downtown, will feature live musical performances from the 116th Army Band and the Mike Veal Band.
Food trucks, children's activities and giveaways sponsored by 12Stone Duluth will all be part of the event. A "gigantic" firework display, with city hall ad the backdrop, will wrap up the evening.

The festival is considered an "open zone" event, so outdoor drinking of alcohol will be allowed.
The weather forecast for Monday in metro Atlanta calls for a chance of rain and thunderstorms. According to the National Weather Service, there will be a 30 percent chance of showers and storms during the day Monday, when it will be mostly sunny with a high near 89.
Monday night brings a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Otherwise, expect partly cloudy skies and a low around 73.
