Man Convicted of Having Sex with 13-Year-Old
Their families were living at the same extended-stay hotel when the relationship occurred; prosecutors say he was 21 and knew she was 13.

A Gwinnett County jury convicted a man on several charges for a sexual relationship he had with a 13-year-old girl while both of their families lived at an extended-stay hotel near Norcross.
Isham Trinnell Clay was found guilty of aggravated child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes, and child molestation, Chief Assistant District Attorney Dan W. Mayfield said in a news release.
Prosecutors said Clay, 21 at the time, met the 13-year-old while they were living at the hotel, and the two had sex several times, even after the girl told Clay her age.

He was arrested when the two were found in a hotel lobby bathroom after an employee overheard “sexual noises” coming from the bathroom, the news release stated.
The jury deliberated several hours to find him guilty of the charges.
