Man Dead in Apartment Complex Shooting in Norcross
Shooting followed dispute between two men and a woman, according to Gwinnett County Police.
Officers responding to a Friday morning call of a person shot found a man dead at a Norcross area apartment complex, according to Gwinnett County Police.
At 7 a.m., officers arrived at the Paces Crossing Apartments, 4300 Jimmy Carter Blvd. They found a deceased black male at the entrance to the complex, according to a release.Â
The deceased has been identified as William Damron, 35, of Tennessee.
According to police, there was a dispute between an estranged husband and wife and a third party that led to shots being fired.
"At this point, charges have not been filed due to self-defense claims by theÂ
third party and unaffiliated witness accounts," according to police. The investigation continues.
