Man Shot In Neck At Pleasant Hill Road Restaurant

DULUTH, GA — A Gwinnett County man was shot in the neck outside a restaurant in Duluth late Sunday night, according to police.

Gwinnett County Police were called at 10:43 p.m. Sunday to the Las Costas Nayaritas restaurant at 1555 Pleasant Hill Rd., near the intersection with Sweetwater Road.

When they arrived, officers found a man who had been shot in the neck. He was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center for emergency treatment and is expected to survive, police said Monday morning.

According to investigators, the man was outside the restaurant when he was approached by two other man and a fight broke out. One of those men got a handgun and shot the victim as he tried to run toward Pleasant Hill Road, police said.

Both of the other men ran away after the shooting. Police searched the area but weren't able to find them. The investigation was ongoing Monday morning and police said more information would be released as it become available.
