Missing: 100-Pound Chicken Named Dee Dee
The arts festival statue was scooped up from a Duluth, Ga., roundabout Tuesday.

Authorities in Gwinnett County, Ga., have sent out a βmissing chickenβ alert for a 100-pound bird named Dee Dee.
As the City of Duluth noted in a Facebook post: βNo joke β¦. She is really missing!β
The city said Dee Dee, a mascot from the Barefoot in the City: Duluth Art Week festival, was taken from a roundabout in town on Tuesday. The sculpture is five-and-a-half feet tall and weighs around 100 pounds.

A city spokesperson told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution the chicken was discovered missing by a public works employee who went to pick up the sculpture be moved to another location Tuesday morning.
The spokesperson told the newspaper no search efforts have been organized, but they really want Dee Dee back. As of Wednesday afternoon, she was still gone.

The city has taken the theft with some levity, posting a red βMissingβ alert on Facebook with the following description:
- Height: 5 Β½ feet tall
- Weight: 100 pounds
- Last seen: At the roundabout on McClure Bridge & West Lβville
- Wearing: Purple necklace, purples shoes & striped stockings
Even Mayor Nancy Harris made a tongue-in-cheek plea for Dee Deeβs return, commenting on Facebook:
βDee Dee - if you crossed the road, please come home. I promise not to ask you why you crossed the road.β
