City Council's Monday Meeting Brief
Peachtree Corners Special Called meeting opened and adjourned in record time.
It took the mayor and City Council just 15 minutes to work through the 12 items listed on the agenda.
The meeting was held at the , as the room at the was unavailable. Council members Alex Wright and Weare Gratwick were absent.
None of the five or so residents who attended took advantage of the opporutunity to speak out during the Public Comment period.

Under old business, the second read of the adoption of the ordinance to amend the intergovernmental agreement with Gwinnett County for Land Use Services was tabled a second time (it was first tabled at the July 12 meeting).
Acting City Attorney Bill Riley told the council that he had "solid discussions with the county attorney" and were "much closer to the intergovernmental agreement."

The council passed the amended ordinance to establish a Planning Commission for the city. At the previous meeting, the ordinance had been amended by changing the number of pPlanning Commission members from seven to five.
In new business the City Council considered the ordinance to establish the proposed millage rate for the city.
A SECOND READ and PUBLIC HEARING will be heard at the City Council Meeting to be held Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will again be held at the Hilton Atlanta in Peachtree Corners.
In the only action item on the agenda, Riley made a short presentation to provide an update on the agreement with Pond & Co. to provide community Development Liaison Services. Riley said negoiations with the company were ongoing to amend the company's initial proposal and recommended the action item be tabled until Tuesday's meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
