New Convenience Store Set to Open

A new convenience store in Peachtree Corners is set to open on Friday, May 11, 2012, on the corner of South Old Peachtree and Medlock Bridge roads.

Stop And Shop Food Mart, an independently run business, is owned by Nazir and Saiana Noorali and will sell groceries and gasoline. The new store is located next to in space that has been empty for about a year and a half.

"We'll carry the typical items usually found in a convenience store," said Saiana Noorali, "but we'll also customize what we carry for the neighborhood."

The Nooralis said they'll be hiring local people to help operate the business. "We're trying to help the economy," said Nazir Noorali who owns another convenience store on Annistown Road in Stone Mountain.

The store will sell Marathon branded gasoline. And to kick off opening day, the owners are planning on pricing the gas below their competition.

"Our prices will beat Walmart and QuikTrip," said Saiana Noorali.
