New Startup Accelerator Opening In Peachtree Corners
The accelerator, Atlanta Tech Park, joins two incubators in the city, where a focus has been placed on supporting technology startups.

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA — A new support center for technology startups is opening in Peachtree Corners.
On Oct. 2, Atlanta Tech Park will open, offering programs for companies that have moved past the initial startup phase. It will join Prototype Prime, the city-supported startup incubator that opened last October, and 22 Tech Park, a private IT incubator located just around the corner.
Atlanta Tech Park, termed a business accelerator, will be located at 107 Technology Pkwy., just a few blocks from the two incubator sites. The 43,000-square-foot campus will offer coaching, mentoring, advising and software application development for local companies.

Accelerators and startup incubators assist entrepreneurs in the journey toward becoming successful companies, but each in their own way. Once a startup business is in an accelerator, the accelerator offers access to a large network of mentors, investors and professionals, along with workspace. Incubators provide services, advice and support networks that allow early-stage entrepreneurs to succeed.
Atlanta Tech Park’s owner, Robin Bienfait, said the goal of her center will be to help local companies connect and grow.

The space, which she calls a "global innovation center," will offer dedicated and open work space for members to connect with others, work productively and grow their businesses.
"The Global Innovation Center will give members a place and a community to be part of, and many of these companies will include Tech graduates," Bienfait, who holds an engineering and masters’ degree from Georgia Tech’s business school, said in a news release. "I already have seven or eight Georgia Tech-born growth companies that want to be part of it."
According to the release, Atlanta Tech Park will boast state of the art facilities and is currently taking appointments and membership applications. The accelerator includes private offices, open work spaces, conference rooms, boardrooms, a 100+ seat auditorium, event space for 500, a podcast room, lab space, a warehouse, a cafe and lockers.

"The assistance that these three centers offer is a tremendous asset to both the city and to the many entrepreneurs who will benefit from the support."
