Peachtree Corners AKA Chapter launches second ASCEND enrichment class for high school students this fall
AKA Sorority Peachtree Corners Chapter seeks male and female high school students for second cohort of its ASCEND enrichment program
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Psi Omega Omega Chapter located in Peachtree Corners, is accepting applications for the second cohort of its signature enrichment program ASCEND for male and female high school students. The Psi Omega Omega ASCEND Academy is designed to motivate, engage and assist students in grades 9-12 in reaching their maximum potential, focusing on Achievement, Self-Awareness, Communication, Engagement, Networking and Developmental Skills.
The Psi Omega Omega ASCEND Academy meets at Ivy Preparatory Academy, located at 3705 Engineering Drive, Norcross, GA 30092, the third Saturday of each month (11 a.m. – 2 p.m.) from September through June. ASCEND curriculum materials and refreshments will be provided during monthly sessions for each participant.
All students accepted to the ASCEND Academy must submit a copy of an official high school transcript, showing good academic standing with a cumulative minimum average of a “C” or its equivalent (applicants must be matriculating in 9th-12th grade at the time of participation).
