Peachtree Corners Becoming Dining Hot Spot

With the opening of HotRocks Grill, a total of 31 new restaurants have been opened in the city since the beginning of last year.

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA β€” Peachtree Corners, Gwinnett County's newest and largest city, is becoming something of a culinary hot spot.

Since January 2016, 31 new restaurants have opened in the barely-five-year-old city.

The latest is HotRocks Grill, a fast-casual eatery serving Mediterranean-inspired American dishes. City officials recently attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new restaurant, at S. Old Peachtree Road and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

"We are happy to welcome HotRocks Grill to Peachtree Corners," Mayor Mike Mason said at the ceremony.
"It’s in a great location with great food. I’m sure it will be a popular dining spot."

The restaurant serves a variety of American dishes, some with a definite Mediterranean twist. The menu features tabbouleh salad and Calamari with sriracha aioli, along with a number of rotisserie chicken choices which are cooked over open flames.

For those craving a burger, HotRocks Grill serves up an Angus beef burger that comes with lettuce, tomato, onion and cheddar cheese. Salads, wraps, platters and a veggie burger also are on the menu.

The restaurant seats about 75 diners and also offers a selection of wine and beer choices.

The children’s menu offers five options and the dessert menu includes a chocolate mousse cake, cheese cake, rice pudding and a Mediterranean favorite, baklava.

The new business is owned by partners John Davidson, Bassam Kahwach and Julie Smith.

HotRocks Grill, located at 4941 S. Old Peachtree Road, serves lunch and dinner daily between 11 a.m.–9 p.m. and can be reached at 770-837-0023.
