Local Students Graduate from Samford University

BIRMINGHAM, AL -- The following area students received a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree from Samford University during recent commencement exercises:

• Zachary Alan Bennett of Norcross graduated. Bennett received a Master of Accountancy from Brock School of Business.
• Elizabeth Danielle Spears of Norcross graduated. Spears received a Master of Science in Education from Orlean Bullard Beeson School of Education.

Georgia Southern University Congratulates Graduates

STATESBORO, GA -- Georgia Southern University recently held its annual spring commencement ceremonies for graduate and undergraduate students at Hanner Fieldhouse and Allen E. Paulson Stadium. University President Brooks A. Keel, Ph.D., conferred more than 3,300 graduate and undergraduate degrees during two separate ceremonies to accommodate the graduating classes.

• Laura M Welch of Norcross graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education.

Georgia Southern University Announces Spring 2015 Dean’s List Honorees

STATESBORO, GA -- Georgia Southern University recently named 2,611 students for excellence in academics to the 2015 Spring Semester Dean’s List. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

STATESBORO, GA -- Georgia Southern University recently recognized 1,194 students for excellence in academics on the 2015 Spring Semester President’s List. To be eligible for the President’s List, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
