Peachtree Corners Has 2nd Lowest Jobless Rate of GA Cities

The unemployment rate in Peachtree Corners is the second lowest in the state, according to the state department of labor.

The Georgia Dept. of Labor tracks unemployment rates of 36 cities in Georgia with populations of 25,000 or more.

With a jobless rate of 3.1 percent, Peachtree Corners was second only to Brookhaven (2.7), according to estmates released Thursday.

According to the data, 21,268 of the city’s 21,951 labor force were employed in February. The unemployment rate in the city was 3.2 percent in January, and 3.3 in February 2014.

Gwinnett County’s rate for February was 5.5 percent; the metro rate was 6.1.
