Peachtree Corners Mayor Delivers State of City Address July 24

Mayor Mike Mason is set to deliver his third State-of-the-City address on Friday, July 24 at a breakfast meeting presented by the Peachtree Corners Business Association at the Marriott Hotel in Peachtree Corners.
The mayor is expected to point to a number of successes the city has accomplished in its short history as Gwinnett County’s newest city – and highlight future plans.

On the list will be the news of the city’s steady economic growth, the increase in new construction and the fact that Peachtree Corners is now home to several international corporations which have established headquarters in Peachtree Corners over the past year.
Gwinnett County has also established a new park in Peachtree Corners. Thanks to the city’s support, the county was able to save Simpsonwood retreat and preserve the area as a passive park for future generations.
Looking at the city’s future, the mayor will point to the upcoming ground breaking of the Town Center, plans to create a walkable and connected downtown district and proposals to improve the Winters Chapel Road and Holcomb Bridge Road corridors.
The mayor is also expected to emphasize the plans for a business incubator which will further spur economic growth in the city.
And finally he’s expected to point to the plans to recognize the city’s military veterans with a monument.
