Peachtree Corners Named A Best Suburb To Live in Georgia

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA — Gwinnett County's newest city is less than five years old, but it's already being ranked among the best suburbs to live in Georgia.

Peachtree Corners was ranked No. 8 among the 2017 Best Suburbs To Live In Georgia by online ranking and review site Niche.com.

If that's not enough of a selling point for the area, Berkeley Lake, just a jot northeast of Peachtree Corners, ranks No. 9 on the list.

Niche.com awarded Peachtree Corners, which was incorporated 4 1/2 years ago, an overall rating of A+ with top marks in categories including: best place to raise a family, public schools, health and fitness, outdoor activities and commute time.

The report by Niche.com uses data from a number of sources including the U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Census Bureau, the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report and others.

"The area is pedestrian-friendly with large sidewalks lining the sides of the roads and provides
access to major highways ...," wrote one resident quoted in the Niche.com review of Peachtree Corners. "Office parks and retail stores provide an abundance of job opportunities."

Said another resident: 'Beautiful, clean and a close knit community that is in the middle of everything, roads, schools and great food places."

The smaller Berkeley Lake also received an overall A+ rating and a top mark in the "good for families" category.
