Washington College Grad
On Saturday, May 16, 2015, Washington College held its 232nd commencement ceremonies. Elizabeth Loiselle of Peachtree Corners, GA graduated with a BA in international studies and Hispanic studies and a minor in economics. Elizabeth also graduated Magna Cum Laude. Founded in 1782 under the patronage of George Washington, Washington College is a private, independent college of liberal arts and sciences located in colonial Chestertown on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Namd to the Troy University Chancellor’s List
Richard Winters of Norcross, GA, has been named to the Chancellor’s List at Troy University for the spring semester/Term 4 of the 2014/2015 academic year.
Lesley Thomasson earns Piedmont College Degree
Lesley Thomasson of Peachtree Corners was among the 385 students who received degrees at the spring Commencement ceremonies at Piedmont College in Demorest, Ga., May 2, 2015. Thomasson earned a Master of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education .
Awarded the Zera-Allen Scholarship
Yelena Tumashova of Peachtree Corners was awarded the The Zera-Allen Scholarship at the 2015 Robinson College of Business Honors Day celebration. Georgia State University alumna, Angela Z. Allen, and her husband, Sam, established the Zera-Allen Scholarship to provide support for undergraduate students in good academic standing in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business. To be eligible for this scholarship, recipients must be first generation college students with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and have demonstrated strong student and/or community service experience.
Berry College Releases Dean’s List
The following local students have been named to Berry College’s spring 2015 Dean’s List, according to Provost Kathy Richardson. The Dean’s List honors students who posted an academic average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale while carrying a class load of at least 12 hours during the semester.
