PHOTOS: Simpson Elementary 5th Grade Musical

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA -- The 5th grade Simpson Singers, from Simpson Elementary School in Peachtree Corners, recently performed the musical, "Lewis & Clark."

It was the annual spring musical for the 113-member chorus, directed by Simpson's music teacher, Jan Smith, and parent volunteers.

The chorus and two drama casts rehearsed for months to prepare to perform for all students at Simpson and the local community. "Lewis & Clark" shares the story of the historic duo’s journey, along with their companions, up to the Missouri River, over the Rocky Mountains and to the Pacific Ocean.

The performances, sets and costumes were made possible by support from the Simpson Elementary PTA.

Next up , the Simpson Singers will perform the National Anthem at the Atlanta Braves game on Friday, May 6.
