Police: Armed Robbers Followed Victim From ATM

The victim was held at gunpoint and hit in the head with an unknown object outside his Norcross apartment.

NORCROSS, GA -- Police are searching for the armed robbers who held a Norcross man at gunpoint after apparently following him home from using an ATM at a nearby bank.

On Wednesday, Dec. 16, Gwinnett County Police officers were called to Indian Trail Apartments at 1100 Indian Trail-Lilburn Rd. in unincorporated Norcross. That’s where a man told them he was held at gunpoint by a robber, who stuck the gun to his chest and told him not to scream as he was walking toward his apartment.

Another man then struck him in the back of the head with an unknown object and those two, plus a third man, began emptying his pockets.

The victim told police he believed the men followed him from the Bank of America off Oakbrook Parkway, where he had used the ATM. After they stole his personal items, they got into what police are describing as a 2000-2007 grey or tan Ford Taurus.

Police were able to gather images of the suspects and their vehicle from the Bank of America. One of the suspects, who are believed to be in their 20’s, was wearing a distinctive black and white jacket with two digits on the right upper arm -- a red number 9 and an unknown yellow digit.
