Police: Fatal Wreck Closes 4 Lanes on I-85

A fatal accident on Interstate 85 had four southbound lanes closed late Monday afternoon.

In a 4:15 p.m. email, Gwinnett Police said a work van struck the side of the bridge at Center Way, forcing the closures. Center Way is a road that crosses the interstate and connects Brook Hollow and Oak Brook parkways in the Norcross area. There is no access to or from I-85.

The driver of the van was killed in the wreck. There were no other occupants in the van and no other vehicle was involved.
