Police Identify Pedestrian Killed in Peachtree Corners

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA — Gwinnett County Police have identified the victim killed in a Friday evening hit-and-run in Peachtree Corners.

Michael Polk, 60, of Peachtree Corners, was on foot when struck by a vehicle at about 7:45 p.m. on Peachtree Corners Circle at Hunters Ridge. The vehicle involved then fled the scene.

Polk was killed on impact, police said.

Gwinnett County Police investigators are looking for a dark-colored passenger car with fresh damage to the front-left bumper and headlight area. They also think there is damage to the hood and driver's-side body area.
