Police Seek Suspect in 2 Sexual Assaults

Norcross Police say detectives have linked two recent sexual assaults near a Gwinnett County Transit bus stop to the same man.

Both assaults happened close to the bus stop on Jimmy Carter Boulevard near South Peachtree Street around 6 a.m.; the most recent incident happened Thursday morning, police said in a news release.

This is an area near the Norcross-Peachtree Corners city boundary.

Police decribe the suspect as a stocky-built Hispanic man who speaks English with an accent.

The man was pepper-sprayed in Thursday’s reported attack, police said.

“Citizens are asked to please use caution when walking at night. Women are asked to avoid walking alone when it is dark outside, be aware of your surroundings at all times, and do not hesitate to call 911 if you encounter a suspicious person,” police said in the news release.
