Police have identified the suspect they believe shot at an officer during a robbery attempt at a Gwinnett County apartment complex last month.

Gwinnett Police say Javon D. Jenkins, 28, is suspected of shooting at an officer around noon March 23 at the Ashford Jackson Creek Apartments, located at 2379 Sunrise Village Lane, near Norcross.

The officer, who was not struck, is one of the officers from the West Precinct who were responding to a robbery call at the time of the incident. The officer did not return fire, police said.
Police released a mug shot of Jenkins Friday afternoon.
Jenkins has not been arrested yet.
