Psi Omega Omega Awards 1st Inaugural L.C. Johnson Scholarship

Peachtree Corners, Georgia – Psi Omega Omega, South Atlantic Region 15th Metro Atlanta Graduate Chapter (chartered 12/13/14) was proud to honor its first L.C. Johnson Scholarship, April 21st, 2015 to Emmanuel Long-Hesse, a student attending Norcross High School. This scholarship was created in honor of Mr. L. C. Johnson, Tuskegee Airman and local community activist to recognize graduating high school seniors planning to attend an HBCU in the fall. The award value was a one-time allotment of $2,500. Mr. Johnson, who serves as a staple in the community by impacting and empowering surrounding neighborhoods was presented with the Psi Omega Omega 2014 Service Achievement Award during Psi Omega Omega’s Chartering. Mr. Johnson continues to serve on the Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful Advisory Board, Salvation Army Metro Atlanta Advisory Board, Gwinnett Housing Authority Board, Peachtree Corners City DDA Board, United Peachtree corners Civic Association, the Atlanta Chapter of Tuskegee Airman, and other various community organizations.
